Meet Monica Neitzert
IMI Q. Med, PhD | Mediator and Conflict Resolution Consultant
Before becoming a mediator, I spent more than 25 years in senior leadership roles across five Ontario government ministries and academia. Conflict resolution was central to that work. I facilitated consultations on contentious policy reform, supported collective bargaining, and addressed conflict within and across teams.
I bring that inside understanding of complex organizations to every engagement, along with a human-centred approach grounded in deep listening, kindness, fairness, and respect.
HOW I CAN HELP
Support for the situation you're facing
I offer three services for public and broader public sector organizations across Ontario, in union and non-union workplaces. Each one is tailored to your organization and your workplace context.

Workplace & Organizational Mediation
A confidential, structured conversation to help people resolve a dispute and work together more respectfully.

Workplace Group Facilitation
Guided conversations that help teams work through tension and rebuild how they work together.

Conflict Management Coaching
One-on-one support to help leaders approach difficult conversations and respond to conflict with greater confidence.

When outside help can make a difference
You may be facing a workplace relationship issue that internal handling hasn't resolved. It might look like:
-
Communication that has broken down
-
Recurring disagreement or competing expectations
-
Confusion over roles and responsibilities
-
Strain between a manager and an employee, or between peers
-
Difficulty after a complaint, grievance, or investigation
-
Tension around a return to work
-
Issues that keep escalating
When the matter is important and the people involved are open to a voluntary process, a neutral outside mediator can help them move forward.

"Monica held a beautiful presence throughout the mediation. I felt there was a lot of space and support for the conversation to unfold. We were able to discuss what was really important to us in a safe and calm environment. Monica was there to make sure we were staying on track and she did an excellent job at steering the conversation." Mediation participant
