SERVICES

Workplace Mediation, Facilitation And Coaching

Every workplace conflict has its own history. I offer three services for public and broader public sector organizations across Ontario, tailored to the people involved and the situation you’re facing. I work with both unionized and non-unionized workplaces.

01 / RESOLVE A CONFLICT

Workplace and Organizational Mediation

When a working relationship is stuck, mediation gives people space to talk openly, understand one another, and explore a way forward. It can help colleagues, managers, executives, employees, and teams resolve conflicts that internal efforts haven’t settled.

My approach is interest-based: we look at what each person needs and what matters beneath the disagreement. I guide a structured, confidential process, while participants decide the outcome.

What mediation can help with

  • Communication breakdowns and recurring disagreements

  • Unclear expectations, roles, or responsibilities

  • Strained relationships between peers or a manager and employee

  • Tension around a return to work

What to expect

We begin by confirming whether mediation is a good fit and discussing the scope, goals, timing, and fees. I then meet privately with each participant to prepare, confirm voluntary participation, and review the agreement to mediate.

During mediation, I help people share their perspectives and explore practical options. We record agreed next steps in writing for participants to review and sign, where appropriate. More than one session may be needed.

I debrief with your organization on whether mediation is complete and whether full, partial, or no agreement was reached. The discussion stays confidential, and participants decide what else is shared.

02 / REBUILD HOW YOU WORK TOGETHER

Group Facilitation

Sometimes a whole team needs help finding its footing again. Group facilitation supports teams facing ongoing tension, communication breakdowns, or strained relationships, including after a conflict, complaint, grievance, or investigation.

Together, we explore who has been affected, what people need, and the organization’s responsibilities. The aim is to rebuild trust and agree on how to work together.

What your team can work toward

  • A shared understanding of concerns and expectations

  • Clearer roles and more constructive communication

  • Agreed ways of working and practical next steps

What to expect

I work with a small internal team to understand the situation, review relevant information, and design the process. Participants are prepared in advance so they know what to expect.

I facilitate an in-person group session with an internal co-facilitator, followed by a summary report, organizational debrief, and recommendations. We also check in on progress and commitments. Planning and preparation can happen online.

My approach draws on restorative justice principles and is trauma-informed and intersectional, with attention to safety, inclusion, and the different experiences people bring.

03 / BUILD CONFIDENCE

Conflict Management Coaching

Difficult conversations are part of leadership, but you don’t have to prepare for them alone. Conflict management coaching offers one-on-one support for leaders, managers, and supervisors who want to handle challenging working relationships more effectively.

What coaching can help with

  • Preparing for a difficult conversation or giving feedback

  • Understanding your conflict style and other ways to respond

  • Recognizing tension before it escalates

  • Building confidence in addressing workplace conflict

What to expect

We begin with your organization’s context and goals, then use a conflict style assessment to shape your coaching. Sessions take place online or in person, with space to explore how you think, feel, and respond to conflict.

I meet you where you are and help you develop an approach that feels practical and true to you. The engagement includes a summary report and debrief with your organization, with recommended next steps.

Coaching can also support someone who wants to move forward when another person isn’t ready for mediation.

What it's like to work with me

My approach combines a human-centred, trauma-informed, and intersectional perspective with practical experience leading people through complex situations. I create a safe, confidential environment where people can express concerns, understand different perspectives, move beyond fixed positions, and work toward practical, lasting agreements.

Participants can expect to feel heard and respected, be supported by a clear process focused on collaboration, move from feeling frustrated or stuck toward clearer communication, better relationships, and clear next steps.

MY APPROACH

How the process works

Every engagement follows clear steps, adapted to your situation.

A first conversation. We talk through the situation, your goals, timelines, and fees, and confirm which service fits. This conversation is free and confidential.

Preparation. I gather context and meet with each person or group individually, so everyone knows what to expect.

The session. I guide a structured conversation where people are heard, understand each other's perspectives, and explore practical options.

Next steps in writing. Participants agree on their own next steps, recorded in writing where appropriate.

Debrief and follow-up. I debrief with your organization and recommend next steps, while keeping the details of the discussion confidential.
